Help move ReNU2 research forward
Joining more than one study makes a difference
No single study can collect everything researchers need to understand ReNU2. Each study asks different questions. Some look back at medical history and development. Others follow people over time to see how ReNU2 changes with age. When families take part in several studies, researchers get a fuller picture of the condition, in both its dominant and recessive forms.
That fuller picture helps researchers find better ways to diagnose ReNU2, measure how people are doing, and prepare for future treatment trials. Studies that include people of different ages, variants and countries are especially valuable.
Before you join any study, we recommend creating a Clinical Research ID (CRID). It is a free code that lets researchers link your family's information across studies without using your name or other personal details. It can also mean filling in fewer repeat forms.
Research and Treatment Disclaimer
ReNU2 Foundation encourages families to consider joining patient registries and natural history studies. These help researchers understand the symptoms, course and impact of ReNU2, and support future research and treatment development. Taking part is always voluntary. Before joining any survey, registry, research study or clinical trial, or making any treatment decision, you should give informed consent, understand how your personal information will be protected, and talk it over with your own qualified healthcare providers. You may also need to authorize your healthcare provider to share your information.
Some studies or surveys may offer payment, which comes from the study provider. ReNU2 Foundation does not provide payment and cannot guarantee payments from any third party. We also cannot control how study providers, or the payment companies they use, share any payment details you give them.
ReNU2 Foundation is hopeful about current and future research.
